We’re recruiting for a Service Owner here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Digital Infrastructure and Security Operations (DISO) team.
This role aligns against Service Owner from the Government Digital and Data Framework.
The Technology Services team within Justice Digital is responsible for all infrastructure, end user computing, onsite support and delivery of technology projects. It has responsibility for 95,000 devices and infrastructure across 900+ sites.
Justice Digital was set up to change the way that people access and use justice services. Our goal is to make the justice system simpler and quicker while saving public money.
This role will be leading a team who are responsible for the Strategy, Operations, Supplier Management, Budgets and Finance for the physical and logical ICT infrastructure environments across the Ministry of Justice.

The Service Owner will work collaboratively with other teams and key stakeholders and will be responsible for: -
Owning the product strategy and roadmap pipeline and schedule, collaborating with architects, engineers, live operations, business engagement and other teams to ensure evolving business needs are continuously met.
Identifying user requirements through user experience to inform features and products and procurement activity.
Form part of a cross-functional team from a product's conception all the way through to its launch and ongoing support.
Identifying requirements and present them in business case and procurement ready formats in order to gain approvals and/or go to market.
Leading procurement activity alongside Commercial colleagues.
Developing metrics and produce reports on performance and assets.
Managing and reporting on multiple suppliers’ delivery and performance against contractual requirements.
Monitoring performance of your product line working with architects and engineers to identify continuous service improvements.
Working with internal teams and suppliers to identify resolutions to incidents and problem tickets and utilise this data to improve the service of a product.
Managing and reporting on budgets and expenditure.
Developing strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Ownership of our digital, analogue and IPT Voice & Unified Comms services.
We’re looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills who likes working with delivery focused and agile multidisciplinary teams. You will also contribute to the wider community and share your skills and experiences with others across the MOJ and across the wider Government, as required.

Essential Criteria
Experience of service/product management in one of the Technology Services product areas - Networks (WAN/LAN) or Voice/Unified Comms or Video.
Constraints - Experience of working within policy, legislative, regulatory and operational constraints, adapting products where needed.
Agile working - Experience of coaching and leading teams in agile practices, acting as a recognised expert who continuously reflects, challenges and drives improvement.
Commercial and financial - Experience of commercial and contractual management, contributing to procurement, prioritising spending based on ROI, securing funding via business cases, and working with Business Analysts at sprint and portfolio level.
Digital economy - Knowledge of different digital contexts, designing services to fit them, and staying up to date with new technologies and their potential uses.
Problem ownership - Experience of taking a problem statement, validating and refining it with a multidisciplinary team, understanding its place in the wider portfolio, and building problem-solving capability in others.
Product lifecycle perspective - Experience of leading a team through the full product lifecycle, iterating to meet user needs, managing live support and incident response, and recognising when to move forward or stop a product.
Product operations management - Experience of ensuring successful operational delivery of a product line, meeting SLAs/OLAs, and performing incident, problem, change, configuration and continual service improvement activities.
Service ownership - Experience of applying product management techniques with a multidisciplinary team to translate user needs into deliverable outcomes.
Strategic ownership - Experience of developing benefit-led visions and strategies, securing organisational buy-in, turning strategy into deliverable goals, building product roadmaps, developing capability in others, and communicating with clarity, energy and recognition.
User focus - Experience of understanding users, their behaviours and evolving needs, delivering products and services that meet those needs, and coaching others to prioritise them.
Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for SC vetting.

In Justice Digital, we recruit using a combination of the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability and Success Profiles Frameworks. We will assess your Experience and Technical Skills during the assessment process.
A diverse panel will review your application against the Person Specification above.
Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a 1-hour panel interview held via video conference.
