Organisational Overview
The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) protects people in England and Wales who may not have the mental capacity to make certain decisions for themselves, such as about their health and finance. We are an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), set up in 2007 following the introduction of the Mental Capacity Act of 2005.
OPG is responsible for registering lasting powers of attorney (LPA) and enduring powers of attorney (EPA) and supervising deputies who are appointed by the Court of Protection.

Team Overview
Business Insight & Service Delivery (BISD) Team support Operations in a multitude of work streams.
We monitor and provide assurance on the performance of Operations including statistical analysis, forecasting and assessing risks. The regular insight we provide supports the business in its day-to-day decisions. The team provide both regular performance updates and responses to ad-hoc requests including Freedom of Information requests and parliamentary questions in a timely manner.
Additionally, you will take a leadership role on any MI related projects that the BISD team are responsible for delivering. You may be required to undertake line management responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Management Information Analyst you’ll be working within the BISD SIS (Supervision & Investigation Services) team to provide analytical support to SIS teams.
Producing and updating spreadsheets and tools to collate and record data on work completed and work outstanding.
You will be responsible for production of monthly performance review and impact indicators review, validating data and raising any discrepancies with relevant teams and the Senior Operational Delivery Management team and the heads of SIS.
You will collaborate with SIS colleagues, contribute and participate at local management meetings to obtain required information for the monthly performance review.
You’ll be expected to display a commitment to continuous improvement, leading change, and improving performance. This often includes working with colleagues and your manager to suggest and implement improvements to business practices and the services we offer, considering the needs of our customers and stakeholders and can-include both digital and non-digital solutions.
Communicate with your team, senior managers, colleagues and stakeholders with clarity and professionalism, reflecting the OPG’s values.
Monitor and evaluate your performance and that of your team, celebrating successes and taking appropriate action where any concerns or issues arise.
Ensure you and those with whom you work are aware of MoJ/OPG priorities and plans and how you contribute to them; keep senior leaders and colleagues informed to deliver these.
Take responsibility and care for your own Health and Safety and for the safety of others and abide by OPG Health and Safety Procedures.

The successful candidate will be expected to work from their base location on a weekly basis in line with current Civil Service requirements, outside of any reasonable adjustments.
